Dr Ben is the friendly companion who reads with your child, listens, and says it again as many times as needed. Pick a word and see how a lesson starts.
Short sessions. Simple words. Pictures and sound together.
Daddy, why can't we build something that helps children with dyslexia and autism?
A nine-year-old Ben, whose nickname is Drben, asked his father a simple question, then asked his father to name it DrbenAI.
Every step is calm, positive and easy to repeat.
A child can speak to Dr Ben the way they would speak to a friendly teacher. Dr Ben listens, answers in short, simple sentences, and says it again as many times as needed.
Speech speed, a repeat button and a picture for every idea are always there.
Letters, then sounds, then whole words. Dr Ben reads aloud, highlights each word and breaks longer words into parts.
When a child says "I don't understand", Dr Ben doesn't repeat the same explanation. It tries another way: a picture, an example, a game.
Some children find it hard to say what they need. With picture cards, they tap and DrbenAI says it out loud, clearly, every time.
Parents and teachers can change the cards to fit the child's day. Try the board.
Children learn best from things they recognise. Every flash card uses a clear, colourful picture, and every lesson can be spoken aloud.
Ready-made sets to see, hear and say. Each one ends with a picture quiz.
Short stories with a picture on every page. Dr Ben reads them aloud and lights up each word, so children can follow along. Tap any word to hear it again.
Ada picks a sweet mango.
Memory match, Find it, Sort it and Odd one out. Short, gentle games that practise the same words, with stars for trying.
Teachers and parents can build lessons in minutes. Paste a list of words and DrbenAI finds a picture for each one. If we don't have a picture, add your own photo or drawing.
Two children can both have dyslexia and still read at different levels, focus for different lengths of time and love different things.
So DrbenAI builds a learning profile for each child and keeps adjusting it.
A diagnosis never decides what a child can do. Parents and teachers can override any suggestion.
This is a learning profile, not a medical record. It only describes how Tobi likes to learn.
You see what happened, in plain words. No mystery scores, no judgments.
Example summary. Green: full session. Yellow: short session.
Set up your child's profile, choose learning goals, adjust sound and screen settings, and see what to practise next.
Add students, assign activities, and see who needs more practice, without extra marking.
Coming later: create exercises, follow home practice and share recommendations with families.
The numbers in DrbenAI describe learning activity. They are not clinical scores or measures of intelligence.
Offline solution
DrbenAI works online or offline. With the DrbenAI Box, schools and communities can provide AI-powered learning without continuous internet access.
Most learning apps use names, foods and voices from somewhere else. DrbenAI starts with Nigerian English and Nigerian accents, and lessons about things children here know: mangoes, school buses, market days, jollof.
More African languages will follow, with local teachers and families helping to get them right.
A child's data and trust are not ours to spend. These are the rules DrbenAI is designed around.
DrbenAI doesn't diagnose, treat or replace doctors, teachers, therapists or caregivers. It supports them.
Nothing starts without a parent or guardian's consent, and parents control settings, data and deletion.
We collect the least data we can to help the child learn, and we don't ask children for personal details.
Clear retention rules apply, and recordings are not stored indefinitely by default.
Dr Ben never asks a child to hide a conversation from a trusted adult, and encourages children to talk to one when it matters.
Strong content filters keep conversations age-appropriate, and learning content is reviewed by people, not just generated.
